As we know, marketing can become quite expensive!
Finding what is out there that does not require a plan or subscription is absolutely worth it when it comes to budgets.
Here's a list of my favorites and I actually consider many of them "must haves".
This resource will help with keeping expenses down without sacrificing your marketing plan.
This is by far my most used app and I simply can’t go without it.
They do offer an upgrade, which I highly recommend.
However, the free version still offers plenty of features, such as thousands of free templates.
They have everything you need with an extensive library of free stock photos, videos, graphics, and more.
One of the most important impressions a marketer should want to make is professionalism. At least that is my opinion.
I utilize grammarly regularly to ensure my written content, from ad copy to website copy and social content is written with correct grammar.
The free version (which I use) is sufficient for my needs.
This program allowed me to stop bothering my English teacher friend with my grammar questions.
Photoshop Express is similar to Canva offering free and paid plans.
It does require setting up an Adobe account.
Easily sign up using your Google or Facebook account.
Again, a premium plan unlocks additional features and content.
However, the free plan still offers plenty of photo editing abilities.
Email marketing continues to be a driver for sales.
The free plan allows up to 500 contacts.
It also offers Creative Assistant (AI) designs, landing pages, a website and more.
It’s really not recommended to use long urls when posting to social especially and bitly is the free solution.
My favorite feature is not the shortening of links though.
It offers link click tracking, the location of visitors, as well as where visitors found the link, known as referrers (ex: Facebook).
Why spend money unnecessarily when Google offers Docs, Sheets, etc. for free?
That’s right, no special software required!
Changes are automatically saved and there’s also the feature to undo.
My favorite feature…built in intelligence!
Analyzing and understanding user data for your website is literally at your fingertips with Google Analytics.
Learn not just where your visitors are physically located, but also what drove them to your site (known as referrer), such as Facebook, organic search, etc.
This is the key to optimizing website performance.
Measuring page performance and determining where to focus marketing efforts are that much easier when utilizing this tool.
This is a suite of all-in-one tools to access marketing insights to help improve online visibility.
When you create a free account you can access tools, apps and features without the need to upgrade.
This is a great tool for SEO management, such as performing keyword research, auditing a website among many other things.
It’s exactly that. Find out what is trending in Google searches!
You can access what topics are hot right now and use that to determine next steps in your marketing plan and more.
Perform searches on your business specific topics to make informed marketing decisions, analyze, research, increase site traffic and more.
This is the most overlooked marketing platform in my experience.
Let’s step back to #9. When we need information, Google is the go-to.
Although Google does not share the specifics around this data, it’s estimated to be around 8.5 billion searches per day, roughly 3-4 daily searches performed by the average person.
Do you have a Google Business Profile?
It’s FREE to set up and I personally view it as an addition to a website, a snapshot of who you are and what you offer.
I hope you found a few key nuggets from this information and are on your way to accessing these free resources if you’re not already utilizing them.
For your convenience, here is a free downloadable list you can grab for easy access.
“I wish someone could walk me through this process."
“Yay, got a lead…oh but wait, they aren’t really interested in what I offer.”
I 💯 relate. It’s quite frustrating and if we’re being honest, even discouraging!
When I had "had enough", I decided it was time to learn the top strategies for marketing, generating leads and selling online.
Which then lead me down the path of other's landing pages, sales funnels, lead magnets, etc.
Which then lead me to wanting to learn how to do all of it myself!
It wasn't easy trying to put everything in place, where it belonged in the process, what was needed as far as software, etc.
Hopefully my trial and error will be to your benefit.
Once I finally got everything up and running, I put together a roadmap to help others in the most simplified way possible, at least that is my goal.
